ifilm English TV to air new film ‘The Distinguished Suitor’

ifilm’s new feature film ‘The Distinguished Suitor’ has been scheduled to go on air on June 26, 2017.

The movie, produced by Dariush Babaeian as well as Mehdi Ahmadi-Garakani and directed by Davoud Movassaqi, reviews a comedy story of a man in love.

Ahmad has been living in Paris for decades, though in his last decades he finally returns to Iran. He had left Iran many years ago with the sole purpose of making a life for himself and then come back and marry the girl he loves.

But when he finds out within a year of his departure she married another man, all his plans were dashed. He has now come back to Iran to track down his love and check if there is any possibility of reigniting his old flame.

Since he is now divorced and the husband of his love has passed away long ago, it seems that his life-long dream can finally come true. However, he soon realizes that even though she still has feelings for him, it is not going to be easy for them to get back together.

The movie cast list includes Yousef Teymouri, Farhad Ayish, Gohar Kheirandish, Negin Sedq-Gouya, Majid Moshiri, and Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia.

‘The Distinguished Suitor’, made in 2006, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT (03:30 Tehran time).

ifilm English will also repeat the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00 (all GMT times).
